What is RO water?
Reverse osmosis or RO is a process that removes contaminants from water by allowing the water to be pushed under pressure through a semi-permeable membrane. But, the membrane only allows the passing of water molecules, and not the majority of dissolved salts, organics, and good bacteria. And the application of pressure to ‘push’ the water through the RO membrane desalinates (demineralize or deionize) the water and decreases pH level. This allows ‘pure’ water to run through while holding back most of the contaminants present.
